If you are looking for an All rounder in the Japanese selection, look no further than the Makoto. It makes everyday task of precisely slicing and cutting vegetables and delicatessen meats that more pleasurable.

Key features:

  • 2mm thick blade made from high carbon steel
  • Good edge retention
  • Easy to resharpen
  • Weighs 180 gm
  • Good for everyday cuts of vegetables and delicatessen meats

Available in 2 gorgeous color options, the Makoto is an Usuba knife, which means it loves to work with vegetables and can be a pretty good entry level chef knife.

The knife blade is made from recycled leaf springs, which are recovered from the suspension system of trucks and cars, while the handle is made from varnished Golden Cassia wood, native to Vietnam. Please note that slight variation in color is expected as the wood is natural.

Handmade products in small family run blacksmith cooperation. From the carbon steel blade to the handle, everything is hand made and perfectly imperfect.

Please consider when purchasing that each and every knife is individual, slightly different and small beauty flaws are there, which will not influence the performance of the knife!
